Denim on Denim

Introducing denim on denim. The look I always wanted to pull off (also known as the "Canadian Tuxedo"). I finally did it in Bean Town!

I spent three days exploring the historic city of Boston with my brothers. All must sees: Beacon Hill, Charles St., Newbury St., Harvard Square... and please go to Mike's Pastry for a cannoli! But, one of my favorite spots was Acorn St. (pictured above). Acorn St. is a narrow cobblestone street often referred to as the most frequently photographed street. By the description alone, there is no doubt it would be on the top of my to-do list.

The oversized distressed denim shirt from Nasty Gal's "After Party Vintage" line is everything and more. The raw edges make me happy. Denim shirts are the best throw-on for any casual occasion. You can even wear the shirt open with a tee underneath for a different look. The raw edges are  It is a nod to the best era, the grunge era. Although, I think it's safe to say I will wear anything oversized and distressed.

Paired with Levi's 501 Jeans and Kenneth Cole Reaction all-white sneakers. These beautifully worn-in Levi's feature a high-waisted silhouette and a skinny leg. Now to the sneaker trend. I hope this stays around for some time. It completes an outfit to create an effortless look. Throw on with any outfit and you are good to go!
